Our Leadership Partners

The Philadelphia Education Fund

The mission of the Philadelphia Education Fund is to improve the quality of public education in Philadelphia and the region, so that youth are prepared for college and careers. Over the next three years, our work will be guided by the following institutional strategic goals:  Increase the number of secondary schools that are high performing; Increase the number of public school students who access postsecondary education and persist to completion; Position the Philadelphia region as central to state and national dialogues about improving public education.

In collaboration with schools, school districts, and other partners, the Philadelphia Education Fund’s work falls into four distinct areas:  enhancing teaching and learning; directly assisting students to access and succeed in postsecondary education; convening public education stakeholders in support of school reform policy and practice; and informing and engaging citizens as public school advocates in the greater Philadelphia region. Throughout all of our initiatives, we conduct and use research to fuel our work and that of others.

Public Citizens for Children and Youth

PCCY was founded over 30 years ago to help improve the lives of children by advocating on their behalf and being a catalyst for positive change.  We help to identify and educate the public about children’s needs and insist that our children become a priority if we as a society, and they as our future, are to survive.

Fleisher Art Memorial

Fleisher is committed to advancing the vision of its founder, Samuel S. Fleisher, who believed that art is one of society’s greatest assets and equalizers, and famously “invited the world to come and learn art.” Today, over 15,000 people experience the transformative power of art at Fleisher through free and low-cost classes in the visual arts for all ages, an acclaimed series of contemporary exhibitions, and vibrant community-based programming.

Fleisher’s work is guided by a mission to make art accessible to everyone, regardless of economic means, background, or artistic experience. Fleisher is one of the nation’s first community-based arts centers and its arts education programming reaches deeply into local schools and community centers, and has led to national recognition and powerful opportunities to advocate for and shape arts education initiatives throughout the region and country. Measured growth and sustained commitment have helped to make Fleisher an enduring part of Philadelphia, and a magnet for everyone to make and learn about art.
