First Fridays
Started in 1991 by a group of galleries as a collaborative open house evening, First Fridays grew quickly into one of Philly’s most vital, signature cultural events. On the first Friday evening of every month the streets fill with art lovers of all kinds who wander among the Old City's 40-plus galleries, most of them open from 5 until 9 p.m.

Fleisher Art Memorial
The Fleisher Art Memorial is guided by the spirit of its founder, who first extended an invitation in 1898 for "the world to come and learn art." Samuel Fleisher's singular vision of high-quality, tuition-free art instruction continues uninterrupted at the Memorial. Children from all economic and cultural backgrounds share in the commonality of the creative experience and the cultural diversity of the city. Adult artists of all levels of experience study with a distinguished faculty of working artists in diverse fine-arts mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and ceramics.

Fairmount Park Public Art Tour
Established in 1872, the Fairmount Park Art Association is the nation's first private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the integration of public art and urban planning. Today, through its diverse programs, the Art Association continues to promote the appreciation of public art and to recognize the important role that public art plays in the creation and enhancement of civic spaces.

Asian Arts Initiative Youth Lounge
The Asian Arts Initiative hosts a series of ongoing yearly youth workshops. By providing art-making opportunities and a safe space for Asian American teens, we hope that teens will have a chance to explore and express their experiences and connect with others in their community. Projects over the years have included theater, spoken word, poetry, writing, documentary video, narrative film, short video, drawing/painting, mural making, hip-hop dance, DJ techniques, and many more. This workshop is free and open to all interested youth ages 10-18.
